UK GDPR after Brexit: same vocabulary, different regulator
UK GDPR still looks like EU GDPR, but ICO guidance, PECR cookies, and the Data (Use and Access) trajectory deserve their own configuration.
The UK retained GDPR in domestic law. The Information Commissioner’s Office remains the primary regulator, and PECR still governs cookies and electronic marketing.
ICO cookie guidance has long emphasized rejecting as easily as accepting, and avoiding dark patterns. That is a UX requirement as much as a legal one.
Do not clone the EU banner blindly
Transfers from the EU to the UK and back still need a transfer story. Keep UK and EU policy versions distinct in your CMP even if the copy looks similar today.
